April’s Writing Challenge!

This month is all about building on your brilliance!
If you haven’t discovered what you’re good at yet, there are two pages from the Slate 2012 Planner that will challenge your skills on writing or designing.

The first one can win you a Sloot*!
Try your hand in creating a story with gaps!
Fill in the blanks and you might just discover a knack for improvising.
No limits! Let your creativity flow!
Look! I’ve done a sample below.


For the mechanics:
1. Cook up a storm!
It might help to look at the whole set of words first and then build after. You can insert punctuation marks anywhere you wish but you can’t erase any of the words! We are awarding the Sloot to the most entertaining, interesting, and imaginative piece!

2.    Submit your entry
Choose to use the template above (just right click and save as image) or choose to work on your Slate Planner! The page is located after the monthly dashboard of April.
Please send your entries to livecreatively@slateplanner.com with the following:
1. Full name
2. Mobile #/ contact #
3. Brief intro of your story! 🙂 

3.    Choosing of Winners & Criteria
This contest is open for submission until April 30, 2012. We shall post all entries as soon as we receive them. After April 30, 2012, the Slate Team will review the entries and will deliberate on the winner through out the week. We’ll announce the winner after that.

Criteria for Judging:
+ Creativity 30%
Be inventive, innovative & ingenious!
+ Originality 30%
The more unique the story, the better!
+ Story 40%
Don’t let your readers doze off!

4.    Prize
The winner will receive:

+    Slate Writing Challenge Certificate
+    AWESOOOOME SLOOT (prizes inside to be revealed in the following weeks)!
